BERLIN · Benjamin Laurent Aman is a sound and visual artist who is currently in residency at cité internationale des arts de paris. his work oscillates between actions, installations and sound, most frequently imaged through monochrome drawings. Benjamin Laurent Aman will be having his first solo show at the l’atelier gallery.

 

each medium exists independently, yet always flowing from a first inspirational perception: an experience that permits the lecture of his minimalistic, silent and enigmatic creations, which combine a physical, mental and emotional approach. Aman’s constructions lead the visitor into ambiguous zones.

a limited edition of a 12 vinyl boxset and an original drawing has been produced for the exhibition at l’atelier, taking place during the week of transmediale in february 2013 in berlin.

since 2005, Benjamin Laurent Aman’s work has been presented in numerous group exhibitions (centre georges pompidou in paris, cac nei liicht luxembourg, selasar sunaryo museum bandung) and dedicated ones (styx projects, able kulturverein in berlin, kunstraum michael barthel in leipzig).

since 2007, he has carried out many live performances and radio shows (epsilonia in paris, le tétraèdre in bruxelles, the wire on air, resonance fm in london), and performed at the 10th berlin biennale, transmediale x, club transmediale (ctm), nu substance festival in indonesia, amongst others.
