HomeBase is in the process of transforming a former brewery in Pankow, Berlin, into the HomeBase LAB - a year-round art and research center dedicated to the investigation of home as the foundation of humanity and to experimentation in meaningful, urban living. HomeBase will invite the Berlin community into the LAB with an open house event scheduled for the 1st and 2nd of october 2011. as a sneak peek into the HomeBase universe we will be hosting the free public event HB SALON on September 13, 2011, Thulestrasse 54, Pankow.
just two weeks before the HomeBase LAB open's its doors to the public with a OPEN HOUSE event on october 1st & 2nd, featuring site-specific work by 14 selected international artists-in-residents who have been living, creating and building the homeBase LAB, we are glad to host an intimate evening, a SNEAK PREVIEW into the future of the project, with presentations and live music.
the evening will include a presentation about the future of the HomeBase LAB and nomadic HomeBase Project bridging NYC, Berlin and Jerusalem, by Anat Litwin, founder & artistic director of HomeBase.
live music performance by Israeli Musician and HB Build artist-in-residence, David Fire, and guest performance by the Israeli / German Ladino duo Yali Toren and Tobias Ruetger.
