BERLIN · this year DMY Berlin will have the great opportunity to run the "Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2012" for the first time since the competition started in 1969.
a big success for Joerg Suermann #22, Founder of DMY, and his team, who will now host the prestige designer competition together with the German Ministry of Economics. DMY Berlin has received a service license from the ministry for a year with an extension option.
as Joerg explained, from now on all the submitted works, that satisfy the formal criteria, will be displayed in the historic Airport Berlin Tempelhof during the DMY International Design Festival Berlin 2012 from the 6th to the 10th of June. festival and competition will be linked to one another, as such the designers and the public will get a chance to take a look at all the nominees.
YOU still have time to APPLY! the application deadline is March 2, 2012. the prizes for outstanding achievements in the fields of product design, communication design and eco design will be officially awarded in fall 2012 at a special gala event in Berlin.
