BERLIN · our friend and fellow member Jay Cousins, with his team from Open Design City is putting up a joint-venture this saturday with DESIGN SMASH, a company for designers, producers and all-round smart people who support ‘creative commons’ and the freedom of creative collaboration.
the concept is simple and beautiful: the most talented people in the design and architecture world get thrown into one room where they will sit in front of their computers, produce a laser-cut object, while throwing back stiff drinks. they have 4 hours to accomplish this task.
while they smash out a design, you as the onlookers will party around them. at the end of the night, you decide who gets the biggest prize and the pieces are produced in front of you, on-the-spot.
