people here are concerned but mostly don't think that it will lead to a full blown war situation. what moves the blogosphere as a side kick to the news reports is this image. apparently it was posted on 'dc inside', korea's biggest otaku forum which is traditionally a good source for satirical political comments or illustrations or just plain stupid but fun stuff. from there it was twittered, as an image showing smoke rising from yeonpyeong-do. korean broadcasting stations picked it up and eventually cnn used it too. all that wouldn't be worth mentioning if it didn't turn out that this image shows an us bomb attack on bagdhad in 2003...
of course all the information in this blog entry relies on other korean blogs and i don't know what's true and what not. but that's not the point here. the point is the speed with which information gets distributed. keep the rumour machine running!^^
